About us
Kaleidoscope, in the heart of Lewisham, is an award-winning purpose-built building that brings together specialist children’s community services under one roof, including health, mental health and services for children with special educational needs and disabilities.
Our aim is to deliver high quality health care for children, young people, and their families and carers to help them, grow, develop and achieve their potential.
Kaleidoscope is a unique building and the first project of its kind on such a scale in the UK. It provides integrated services for children and young people through multidisciplinary working and multiagency collaboration.
This means that children can be seen by a range of professionals from different organisations, including audiologists, paediatricians, therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, health visitors, community nurses, social workers and specialist teachers - all in the same building. We offer a mix of video consultations and face to face appointments.
The building design is child friendly, light, bright and colourful and supports our belief of making connections, getting the right support to families at the right time and families only having to tell their story once.
Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is responsible for Community Children and Young People’s Health Services based at Kaleidoscope. These services are rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC (Care Quality Commission).
