Theatres at University Hospital Lewisham
University Hospital Lewisham offers a range of planned and emergency surgeries through our Ravensbourne Theatre Suite and Riverside Treatment Centre, including:

Ravensbourne Theatres, 020 3192 6050
The Ravensbourne Theatre Suite located on the third floor of the Ravensbourne Block accommodates four adult operating theatres and two children's operating theatres.
Elective surgery takes place between 8am and 5pm and emergency or urgent surgery can be performed here 24 hours per day, 365 days a year.
Riverside Treatment Centre, 020 8333 3268
The Riverside Treatment Centre located on the ground floor of the Riverside Building accommodates five adult operating theatres, three endoscopy rooms, a minor procedure treatment room, an admission area with consultation rooms, patient waiting room and a day surgery discharge facility.
Acute/first-stage recovery room
The first stage recovery room (located in both theatre suites) is an area where patients are cared for immediately after a general anaesthetic. Please note that we do not allow visitor access to this acute clinical care area.
We have an excellent infection control rating that is audited on a regular basis by the infection control team in conjunction with our surgical staff.
